Time Change Announced For Juneteenth National Freedom Day Parade

  • Saturday, May 24, 2025

The Unity Group announced that the 4th Annual Juneteenth National Freedom Day Parade will now begin at 4 p.m. on June 19.

Line-up for the parade will start at 3:30 p.m. on Peeples Street, with the parade beginning promptly at 4 p.m.

It will then proceed down E. MLK Boulevard and gather in Miller Park for the Juneteenth National Freedom Day Remix.

There will be brief remarks from elected officials and community members, spoken word and live musicals performances, and feature the city's largest line dancing stroll.

This will be a celebration of 160 years since the end of the Civil War and the beginning of a new birth of freedom in America. The Fourth of July freed all the land, but it was Juneteenth that freed all the people.
