South Pittsburg Area Revitalization Quest's annual “Pitt to Port Paddle Event." Primarily using kayaks or paddle boards, people are able to take a supervised paddle from South Pittsburg to Bridgeport, Al. A limited number of loaner kayaks are available with prior reservation. McLemore Resort hosts Carnival Americana, featuring an old-fashioned community fair with popcorn, inflatables and fun for kids of all ages, a holiday buffet and American singer-songwriter Sarah Darling, with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Beer, wine and cocktails will be available at the cash bar, while food from the buffet is available for $40 for adults and $15 for children. An entrance fee of $25 is required for non-resort guests and members, with tickets limited to 200. The entry fee is included for overnight guests of Cloudland Hotel and McLemore Club members. The Honoring the Sacrifice Foundation will host the 11th Annual American Heroes Dinner at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The patriotic evening supports severely wounded veterans and their families. The keynote speaker will be Johnny "Joey" Jones. Register to attend here
