South Pittsburg Area Revitalization Quest's annual “Pitt to Port Paddle Event." Primarily using kayaks or paddle boards, people are able to take a supervised paddle from South Pittsburg to Bridgeport, Al. A limited number of loaner kayaks are available with prior reservation. McLemore Resort hosts Carnival Americana, featuring an old-fashioned community fair with popcorn, inflatables and fun for kids of all ages, a holiday buffet and American singer-songwriter Sarah Darling, with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Beer, wine and cocktails will be available at the cash bar, while food from the buffet is available for $40 for adults and $15 for children. An entrance fee of $25 is required for non-resort guests and members, with tickets limited to 200. The entry fee is included for overnight guests of Cloudland Hotel and McLemore Club members.
