The Volunteer-Wauhatchie Chapter, National Society United States Daughters of 1812 will mark the grave of Elizabeth Parham Robnett on Sunday, June 8 at 2 pm CT at the Thomas Y. Swafford Cemetery in Pikeville.

Elizabeth Parham Robnett, daughter of Fortunatus Robnett and Addie Emmaline Swafford Robnett, was a much-loved figure in Bledsoe County. She was an educator for 42 years and the Bledsoe County historian from 1965 until her death at the age of 103. The Robnett family arrived in America around 1790 and first settled in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
They moved to Bledsoe County in the early 1800s. With Ms. Robnett's overwhelming knowledge of Bledsoe County and the surrounding area, she was chosen in 2012 as the first Tennessee recipient of a history award established by the National Society Daughters of 1812 to mark the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.

"Everyone is invited to attend. We hope you will join us in honoring this special lady," organizers said.
