Chattanooga National Cemetery Has Memorial Day Program

  • Monday, May 19, 2025

The 2025 Memorial Day Program at Chattanooga National Cemetery will be coordinated by the Chattanooga Area Veterans Council.  The program will commence at 11 a.m. with parking at the National Guard Armory, 1801 South Holtzclaw Ave., and shuttles starting at 9:30 a.m.  Handicap parking is available at the Cemetery.

The keynote speaker will be Chattanooga native Rear Admiral Jeffrey S. Spivey, U. S. Navy (Retired) and remarks will be made by Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp and Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly.  The Chattanooga Choo-Choo Chorus will perform a medley of hymns, Gold Star Families and Blue Star Families will be recognized.

The Chattanooga Area Veterans Council was established in 1983 to serve the veterans community by providing quarterly briefings between the Veterans Administration and our member organizations.  Additionally, the Council works to streamline and support efforts for veterans and their families, to provide resources for our military families in the Tri-State area - Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama - and to coordinate commemorative events such as The Armed Forces Parade and Luncheon.
