Jerry Ray Loud, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

A skilled and devoted maintenance mechanic for 37 years, Jerry could fix just about anything. He had a natural talent for working with his hands and a reputation for being able to work anywhere — and with anyone. His easygoing nature and strong work ethic earned him the respect of all who knew him. He enjoyed helping others and serving his community. Known for being outspoken, Jerry never hesitated to speak his mind — but always with a heart full of kindness and a desire to help. Jerry was an active member of St. Elmo Presbyterian Church.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Julia Loud.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ann Loud; his daughter, Julia (Richard) Hess; and his cherished grandchildren: Kayla, Braden, Daniel, and Josie Hess.

A visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, at St. Elmo Presbyterian Church, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Wells officiating. Interment will be private.
