Upcoming Road Closings Announced

Here are upcoming road closings:

Emergency Closures:

Broad Street Northbound

During a scheduled street cut, a segment of northbound Broad Street between Aquarium Way and W 3rd Street gave way, resulting in damage to both roadway and stormwater infrastructure. The 200 block of Broad Street northbound will remain closed effective immediately, with repairs estimated to be completed in one week.

Updates will be forthcoming. 

2123 Gunbarrel Road

A water main break requires the closure of the southbound right lane of Gunbarrel Road within the 2000 block. Tennessee American Water crews are on-site, however, repairs may not be complete until Wednesday, May 28.  Please plan for additional travel time as Gunbarrel Road is reduced to a single lane southbound. 

New Construction Scheduled

2624 E 18th Street

E 18th Street between S Watkins Street and Dodds Ave will be closed Friday, May 23, until Friday, May 30, for sewer main repair. Detours will be posted. 

100 Block of W 8th Street 

W 8th Street between Chestnut Street and Broad Street will be closed all day Saturday, for commercial filming. Street parking and pedestrian access will also be limited during this time. 

651 Lupton Drive

The 600 block of Lupton Drive will be closed Monday, May 26 through Friday, May 30 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for sewer repair. Detours will be posted.

Wilcox Blvd Bridge

The northbound right lane of Wilcox Blvd between Riverside Drive and Holtzclaw Ave will be closed on Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily. Please use caution as workers will be present on the bridge and shoulder space.

110 N Market Street

The sidewalk and southbound right lane of N Market Street near the Cherokee Blvd/Frazier Ave intersection will be closed Tuesday, May 27, through Tuesday, June 3, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for utility work.
