Terrel Raymond Hennessee, 74, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 16, 2025, at his home following a brief illness.

Mr. Hennessee was born on Feb. 19, 1951, in Chattanooga to the late Mark and Aline Wilson Hennessee.

He was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church where he served on the guest services team and was a member of the Silver Saints small group.

He was a 1969 graduate of Kirkman High school and received his associate's degree from Chattanooga State. He is retired from US Xpress after many years of service.

He was preceded by his brothers, Paul, Mark, Jr., Wayne, and Ray Hennessee; and sisters, Joyce Sylar, Wanda Graham, Shirley Moore, Sybil Hennessee, and Ruth Hennessee.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy Coyner Hennessee; sisters, Linda Campbell of Lawrenceville, Ga., Jane Clay of Ooltewah; and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Terrel’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Silverdale Baptist Church (7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421); the Moody Bible Institute (820 N. LaSalle Blvd., Chicago, Il. 60610); or a favorite charity.

Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Hwy., Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
