Office Of Community Health and CWS-US Celebrate 1st Tech Cohort Graduation For High-Risk Youth

The Office of Community Health, in partnership with CWS-US, announces the graduation of its inaugural Technology Cohort for high-risk youth. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 24 at noon at the Downtown Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad St.in Chattanooga.

Officials said, "This marks a major milestone in community-driven workforce development. This innovative program equips youth aged 16–21 with essential digital skills, including cybersecurity, cloud computing and computer science.
Developed by CWS-US, a leader in cybersecurity education, the curriculum offers free, accessible training designed to bridge the digital divide and open pathways to employment and higher education."

“This graduation represents more than the completion of a program, it signifies a new beginning for these young individuals,” said Dr.Derek Anderson, administrator of the Office of Community Health. “By investing in their futures, we’re investing in the health and prosperity of our entire community.”

"CWS-US’s mission is to provide comprehensive cybersecurity training and computer science education systems for government, industry and academia," officials said. "Their programs are tailored to meet the needs of underserved populations, ensuring that all individuals have the opportunity to succeed in the digital economy."

The graduation ceremony is open to the public and will feature student presentations, guest speakers and opportunities to connect with community leaders and potential employers.
