Wendy Weeks Sertel Pharr, 52, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at a local hospital.

Wendy was born in Chattanooga, on Jan. 27, 1973, daughter of Laura Coile Gibbs Rutherford and John Rex Sertel, Sr. She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew Sertel, and her grandparents, James M. and Laura (BeBe) Gibbs, and Dorothy and Granville Sertel.

Wendy was a graduate of Marietta High School, class of 1991, where she was involved in cheerleading, the Show Choir, and theater. She was very passionate about music, art, and gardening, but most of all she loved her family. Wendy was very loved by her family and everyone that she knew. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend, she will be missed by all.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Micah Pharr; her daughter, Audrey Marie Pharr; her mother, Laura Coile-Rutherford; her father, John Rex Sertel Sr. (Sis); her brother, John Rex Sertel Jr. (Tiffni); her nieces, Greer and Graycen Sertel; her uncle, James F. Gibbs (Cindy); her aunt, Joan Sertel Coile; her cousins, Ann Marie Crabtree, Jamie and Austin Gibbs; numerous beloved family members and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Pharr will be cremated, and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
