Teressa B. Ray
Teressa B. Ray, 69, of Chattanooga passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 28, 2025.
Teressa was born in Trenton, Ga., and had lived most of her life in Chattanooga. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved her husband and cherished their “day trips” throughout the years. She enjoyed spending her days watching the birds visit her porch and creating works of art including many beautiful quilts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth (Frances) and Kathryn Belue; her husband of 46 years, Donnie Ray; her grandson, Earlee Reed; and her sister, Arlette Fletcher.
Survivors include her three daughters, Leann (Randy) McBee, Mandy Ray, and Tina Whaley; four grandchildren, Hayley (Caleb) Timmerman, Nyle McBee, Ewan Whaley, and Erynn Whaley; four great grandchildren, Gracie Timmerman, Cameron Timmerman, Braydon McBee, and Aubreigh McBee; her siblings, Kenny (Ellaweese) Belue, Glenda (Sandy) Sandlin, David (Shannon) Belue, and Rita (Mike) Higdon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel. Livestreaming of the funeral service will be available on the funeral home website.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood West Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, from 5-7 p.m. and from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour on Friday, May 2, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, Ga.
